Cleric Isong Urges Support for Tinubu Ahead of 2027

Archbishop Emmah Isong has rallied support for President Bola Tinubu in anticipation of the 2027 general elections. This call was made during the inauguration of the Cross River State chapter of the Renew Hope Initiative, a political support group aligned with the current administration's agenda.

Isong urged Nigerians to back Tinubu, highlighting the importance of integrity and fear of God in leadership. He inaugurated a 30-man committee tasked with mobilizing grassroots support for Tinubu.

The committee includes notable figures such as Senator Godswill Akpabio, Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno, and Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu. Isong stressed the necessity of promoting unity and good governance to prevent the emergence of leaders lacking moral values.

He also called on religious leaders nationwide to engage in civic responsibilities and increase voter mobilization, particularly among the Nigerian diaspora, to ensure active participation in the electoral process.
