Coach Abubakar Bala unveiled as Lobi Stars Technical Adviser

Coach Abubakar Bala was unveiled as the new Technical Adviser of Lobi Stars, following his stints with Niger Tornadoes, Kwara United, Katsina United, Doma United, and Sunshine Stars. The club's chairman, Philip Nongu, announced the appointment as part of the rebuilding process after Lobi Stars, Heartland, Sunshine Stars, and Akwa United were relegated to the Nigeria National League at the end of last season.

Coach Bala's immediate task is to lead Lobi Stars back to the elite division of Nigerian football. Nongu emphasized the management's commitment to ensuring a swift return to the NPFL.

The Aper Aku McCarthy stadium is undergoing renovations, with the Akume Atongo Stadium as a backup home ground. Coach Bala stressed the importance of merit-based team selection and delivering results.

The event also included a moment of silence for Akin Olowokere, a former 3SC assistant coach who passed away.
