Jakirović Signs New Hull City Deal After Perfect Start

Hull City head coach Sergej Jakirović has signed a new two-year contract, which will keep him at the MKM Stadium until the summer of 2028, with an option for an additional year until the end of the 2028/29 season. This announcement follows Hull's perfect start to their Premier League campaign, winning their first two matches without conceding a goal.

Jakirović, who took charge in June 2025, has transformed the team from relegation threats to Premier League contenders, securing promotion through the play-offs. His tenure has seen Hull achieve a 2-0 victory over Manchester United, marking their first league win against them in 52 years, and a 1-0 win against Coventry City.

Jakirović averaged 1.58 points per game during his debut Championship season. He expressed gratitude for the support from the club and fans, emphasizing the team's unity and competitive spirit.

Hull City chairman Acun Ilıcalı praised Jakirović as a high-quality coach aligned with the club's vision.
