Coalition Urges INEC to Recognize Fadojoe as AA Candidate

The Coalition of Civil Society Groups for Peace, Security, Good Governance, Equity and Justice has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to comply with a Court of Appeal judgment regarding the leadership of the Action Alliance (AA) and its candidate for the 2027 presidential election. The coalition's statement, issued by Convener Comrade James Okoronkwo in Kaduna, emphasized that the Court of Appeal affirmed Kenneth Udeze as the authentic National Chairman of the Action Alliance.

Consequently, Joseph Oluwadare Fadojoe should be recognized as the party’s presidential candidate, following a primary election conducted under Udeze’s leadership. The coalition criticized INEC for recognizing Mr. Adekunle Omo-Aje as the presidential candidate, labeling this action as illegal and a contempt of court.

They demanded that INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, SAN, rectify this situation by publishing Fadojoe’s name and withdrawing recognition of Omo-Aje. The coalition warned of potential mass action if INEC fails to comply with their demands.
