COAS Urges Troops to Maintain Professionalism in Army

At the graduation ceremony for soldiers completing Exercise RESTORE HOPE X, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), emphasized the importance of professionalism, discipline, and operational excellence for the graduating troops. This event took place at the Nigerian Army Training Centre (NATC) in Kachia, Kaduna State.

The exercise is part of the Army's post-basic infantry training framework aimed at improving combat proficiency and preparing soldiers for modern military operations. Shaibu noted that the graduation aligns with the Nigerian Army's ongoing force expansion and restructuring approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Many of the graduates are expected to form the core of new divisions and units. He urged them to demonstrate their training investment through professionalism and commitment while adhering to the rule of law and human rights.

Major General Valentine Okoro, Chief of Training (Army), described Exercise RESTORE HOPE X as vital for producing combat-ready soldiers through realistic training scenarios.
