COAS, Lt. Gen Oluyede Inaugurates Landmark Projects in 6 Division, Reinforces Troop Welfare, Infrastructure Development

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede recently inaugurated several key projects during an operational tour of the 6 Division Nigerian Army. The COAS met with Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno and emphasized troop welfare and infrastructure development.

Projects inaugurated included the Headquarters 6 Division Office Complex Extension, Python Harmony Centre, and various barracks facilities. General Oluyede also commissioned a remodeled Quarter Guard and 10 Corporal Quarters among other facilities.

The COAS highlighted the importance of improved medical support for troops and their families, inspecting a remodeled Medical Reception Station. Governor Eno praised the Nigerian Army's contribution to peace and security in the state, pledging continued collaboration.

General Oluyede commended troops for their resilience in pipeline protection operations and reiterated the soldier-first philosophy.
