COAS Praises Soldiers for Resilience Against IPOB/ESN

During a special Sallah luncheon held in Orsu Local Government Area, Imo State, on Saturday, Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu commended Nigerian troops for their resilience and sustained offensive operations against criminal elements, specifically the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN). He noted the troops' courage and commitment in facing persistent threats, which have led to recent successes in dismantling insurgent hideouts and degrading the capabilities of these criminal groups.

Shaibu reaffirmed the Nigerian Army's mandate to protect the nation's territorial integrity and ensure the safety of citizens. He also called on residents of the South East to continue supporting security efforts by providing credible information to aid operations.

Major General Valentin Okoro and Major General Oluremi Fadairo were also acknowledged for their roles in promoting synergy among security agencies and enhancing community collaboration.
