Army Chief Shaibu Boosts Morale at Sallah Luncheon

On Saturday, during a special Sallah luncheon at the Forward Operating Base Sobe in Owan West Local Government Area, Edo State, Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu, the Chief of Army Staff, urged Nigerian Army personnel to remain steadfast, disciplined, and committed to defending the nation’s peace and sovereignty. He emphasized the importance of resilience and professionalism, honoring fallen colleagues and encouraging troops to dedicate themselves to their challenging operational duties.

Brig. Gen. Ahm Balogun, representing the command of the 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, reaffirmed the Army's commitment to enhancing troop morale. Shaibu acknowledged the support of President Bola Tinubu and highlighted the need for inter-agency collaboration to improve troop welfare.

He also recognized the sacrifices of military personnel in restoring peace and stability, assuring that troop welfare remains central to leadership philosophy. The event also featured remarks from Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda, who praised the military's efforts in tackling insecurity.
