Nigerian Army Chief Charges 250 Officers on Loyalty and Discipline

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, instructed 250 newly commissioned officers, including 14 females, to prioritize loyalty and discipline above all else in upholding the constitution of Nigeria. The officers were charged during a passing-out parade at the Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI) in Jaji.

The focus is on enhancing the army's manpower, strengthening frontline deployments, and accelerating security and stabilization efforts nationwide. Major General Frank Etim emphasized the need for the officers to be battle-ready for current and future operations.
