NEDC Enhances North-East Airports with Equipment Donation

The North-East Development Commission (NEDC) has donated equipment to improve airport operations in North-East Nigeria, specifically targeting six states: Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe. The donation includes 130 trolleys, with allocations of 20 for Adamawa, 20 for Bauchi, 30 for Borno, 20 for Gombe, 20 for Taraba, and 20 for Yobe.

Mohammad Goni Alkali, the Managing Director of NEDC, emphasized the importance of these items in the rebuilding process of the region, which has suffered from years of conflict. The equipment also includes 16-channel professional consoles, amplifiers, FM tuners, microphones, drone cameras, printers, light kits, routers, and various connectors.

Moham Bulama, the Director General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), acknowledged the gesture as a means to increase broadcast hours in the region. Additionally, Muhammadu Buhari's administration is focused on enhancing airport services, with Fatima Aliyu noting that the trolleys will facilitate the movement of passengers and luggage across airports in the region.
