Nigeria Police Inducts Commissioners into Conflict Management

On Thursday, the Nigeria Police concluded a two-day Executive Training Programme for Commissioners of Police, culminating in the induction of participating officers into the Institute of Conflict Management and Negotiation Analysts (ICMNA) as Certified Conflict Management and Negotiation Professionals. The workshop, themed “Enhancing Strategic Communication and Media Relations,” included CPs from commands nationwide.

DIG Isyaku Mohammed, representing the President and Governing Council of ICMNA, emphasized the importance of the event in promoting professionalism and ethical leadership within the Nigeria Police Force. He urged the newly inducted members to adhere to the institute’s constitution and uphold professional standards.

Following the oath of allegiance, the officers were formally admitted as certified professionals. CP Hope Urunwa Okafor of Ebonyi State expressed gratitude to IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu for the workshop, highlighting its impact on effective communication strategies.

CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi from Kogi State described the training as timely and beneficial.
