PDP Directs South-South Panel to Oversee Cross River Chapter Transition

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has directed the South-South caretaker panel to oversee the Cross River State chapter following the expiration of the elected executive committee's tenure. The decision aims to prevent a leadership vacuum in the state party structure and ensure a smooth transition to a new executive committee.

The zonal caretaker committee, led by Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, will manage the affairs of the Cross River chapter and conduct the State Congress scheduled for September 27, 2025. The NWC emphasized the importance of unity among party members in Cross River State and urged stakeholders to work together for the progress and success of the PDP in the region.
