Nigerian Government Unveils 26 Trades for Technical Education Curriculum

The Nigerian Federal Government has introduced a revised technical education curriculum, unveiling a list of 26 trades for Federal Technical Colleges. The curriculum aims to align with industry demands in sectors like construction, energy, agriculture, automotive, and digital services.

Education Minister Maruf Tunji Alausa and State Minister Professor Suwaiba Sa'id Ahmad announced the curriculum changes, emphasizing that students will now have the option to choose from a minimum of six to a maximum of ten trade courses. The overhaul includes reducing the subject load to cater to modern trade courses.

This move is part of the government's efforts to transform technical education in Nigeria and meet the evolving needs of various industries.
