Contractors Accelerate Work on Mararaba-Keffi Road

Contractors, including China Harbour Engineering Company, have committed to accelerating work on significant federal roads, specifically the Mararaba-Keffi road in Nasarawa State, which spans 43.65 kilometers. The project manager, Ahmadu Reuben, indicated that the road will be completed by June 2026, with a total project cost of N73.8 billion and a duration of 30 months.

As of now, 90% of the work has been completed, with 87% of the elapsed time accounted for. The project includes various phases such as site clearance, stone base preparation, and asphalt layering.

The federal government is keen on the project's significance, with Chukwuma Kalu, the director of press and public relations at the Ministry of Works, providing updates on its progress. The project has faced challenges, including heavy traffic in the Mararaba area, which has affected the speed of work.
