Nyesom Wike Sets June 2026 Deadline for Kuje-Gwagwalada Road Project Completion

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, revealed during an inspection tour that the Kuje-Gwagwalada road project is nearing completion, with 65% of the 16-kilometer road already done. The project, first awarded in 2010 by former FCT Minister Adamu Aliero, faced delays until Wike took over.

The current progress stands at 70% for the airport to Kuje road and almost 65% for the Kuje to Gwagwalada road. The contractor, Crane Builders Engineering Limited, is expected to deliver the project by June 2026.

Wike expressed satisfaction with the progress and emphasized the importance of the project for the communities of Kuje and Gwagwalada.
