ADC Chairman Criticizes Venue Denials for Convention

Kola Ologbondiyan, the chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressed concerns regarding the party's difficulties in securing a venue for its upcoming convention in Abuja. Speaking on a television morning show, he described the situation as a "shameful ordeal" for the party.

Ologbondiyan recounted that the ADC faced several obstacles, including security issues, when attempting to inspect potential event centers. Upon arrival at the Mabushi event center, the party was turned back, which he found unusual given that the country is not currently in an election period.

He noted that the ADC had been denied access to multiple venues, including hotels, and suggested that political pressure may be influencing these denials. Ologbondiyan emphasized the embarrassment this situation has caused the party, highlighting the need for transparency and fairness in the political process.
