Wike Dismisses ADC Claims on Eagle Square Access Denial

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), addressed claims made by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) regarding their alleged denial of access to Eagle Square. Wike clarified that no formal application had been submitted by the ADC for the use of the venue.

He described the allegations as politically motivated and unfounded, aimed at garnering public sympathy. Wike stated that the Eagle Square facility remains open to groups that adhere to the required processes, including payment.

He noted that the Abuja Investment Company Limited manages the facility on behalf of the government. During his inspection tour of ongoing infrastructure projects in Abuja, Wike also addressed concerns about structural damage from a recent windstorm, assuring that no lives were lost and that repair work was already underway.

He expressed satisfaction with the progress of various road projects, which are expected to be completed by May 15, and highlighted the installation of streetlights by May 31.
