Wike Addresses ADC's Claims on Eagle Square Access

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, responded to allegations from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) regarding being denied access to Eagle Square. Wike clarified that no formal request had been submitted by the ADC, which he described as a usual attempt to gain public sympathy.

He explained that access to Eagle Square is governed by a formal process that requires submission of an application to the Abuja Investment Company Limited, which manages the facility. Wike also noted that the Moshood Abiola National Stadium and Velodrome do not fall under the Federal Capital Territory's administration.

He highlighted that when the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) used the venue, they complied with the necessary processes. Wike made these remarks during an inspection of ongoing projects in Abuja, expressing satisfaction with the pace of work and noting that the Kei Road project is expected to be completed by May 15, with streetlight installation finalized by the end of May.
