Court Adjourns Corruption Case Against Ganduje and Others

The Kano State High Court has postponed the hearing of corruption allegations against former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, his wife Professor Hafsat Ganduje, their son Abba Ganduje, and six other state officials. The case involves 11 counts of bribery, conspiracy, and misappropriation of public funds amounting to billions of naira.

The charges also extend to the immediate past APC National Chairman's wife, Abubakar Bawuro Umar, and others. The prosecution is seeking to present additional evidence, with the defense teams preparing motions and objections.

The presiding judge, Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu, has scheduled the next hearing for April 15, 2026, to address the pending applications and preliminary objections.
