Enugu First Lady's Education Initiative Launches in Igboez South

During the flag-off of the 2026 Igboez South Local Government Education Support Initiative, Barr Ugo Ferdinand Ukwuez, the council chairman, commended the educational interventions of Enugu State First Lady, Mr. Nkechinyer Iheoma Mbah.

He highlighted her commitment to enhancing educational quality, particularly for downtrodden communities. The initiative aims to address social challenges in education by sponsoring free WAEC and JAMB registration, covering school fees, and awarding bursaries to alleviate constraints faced by indigent students.

Ukwuez emphasized that these efforts are not mere gestures but practical solutions to remove barriers to education, reaffirming the belief that no child should be denied education due to circumstances beyond their control. The initiative is part of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah's educational roadmap, which seeks to empower youth and expand access to quality education.

The event also saw contributions from stakeholders, including Alhaji Rauf Badamasi of JRB Solar Invest Ltd, who noted the visible impact of these educational support programs.
