Air Chief Condemns Failed Coup Plot Against President, Perpetrators to Face Legal Consequences

Air Chief Sadiq Abubakar, head of the Nigerian Air Force, strongly denounces the failed coup plot against President Buhari, labeling it as shameful and reprehensible. He highlights that those involved, including military personnel and civilians, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The coup attempt, reminiscent of a similar plot against Bola Tinubu last year, has led to the arrest of over 40 individuals and their families. Abubakar stresses the military's primary role in supporting civil authorities and upholding the country's democratic governance.

The statement was made during a strategic meeting at the Nigerian Air Force headquarters in Abuja.
