Court Adjourns Trial of Ex-Minister Hadi Sirika Over Corruption Allegations

The Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja, has adjourned the trial involving Hadi Sirika, his daughter Fatima, son-in-law Hamma Jalal Sule, and others on charges including abuse of office and money laundering amounting to N2.7 billion. The trial within trial is ongoing, focusing on alleged undue advantages conferred on Buraq Global Investment Limited, a company linked to Sirika's daughter.

The court ordered counsels to file written addresses to determine compliance with relevant laws. Investigation officials from the EFCC testified, and the defense was not arrested but invited to respond to submissions.
