Court Adjourns PDP Convention Lawsuit Amid Legal Representation Dispute

The Federal High Court in Abuja adjourned a case seeking to halt the PDP's national convention following a dispute over legal representation. Justice James Omotosho suspended proceedings after senior lawyers Chris Uch San and Kamaldeen Ajibade clashed over who had the authority to represent the party.

The lawsuit, filed by PDP officials from various states, aims to stop the convention scheduled for November 15-16 in Ibadan, Oyo State, alleging violations of the party's constitution and electoral laws. Despite efforts to reconcile the parties, the court urged the PDP to resolve its internal disputes.

The judge cautioned against undermining the judicial process and granted a 24-hour extension for the party to respond.
