Trial Adjourned for Driver in Anthony Joshua Crash Case

The Ogun Magistrate Court in Sagamu has adjourned the trial of Adeniyi Mobolaji, the driver of a Lexus SUV involved in a fatal road crash that resulted in the death of Anthony Joshua's personal trainer, Latif Ayodel, and strength coach, Sina Ghami. The case has been postponed to March 17, 2026, marking the second adjournment to allow the Director of Public Prosecutions to adequately prepare for the hearing.

Mobolaji, 46, faces multiple charges, including dangerous driving causing death, reckless negligent driving, driving without due care and attention, and driving without a valid national driver's license. He was first arraigned on January 2, 2026, following the accident that occurred on December 29, 2025, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, where his vehicle reportedly collided with a stationary truck.

Joshua sustained minor injuries in the crash but was later discharged from the hospital. The tragic incident has drawn significant attention within the boxing community.
