Court Dismisses Dagogo's Suit Against APC Congress

On Monday, the Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed a suit filed by Fubara Dagogo, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), challenging the validity of the party's recent national congress. Justice Joyc Abdulmalik ruled that the court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the matter, which pertained to the internal affairs of the political party.

The judgment stated that issues related to candidate nominations and the purchase of nomination forms are non-justiciable. The court struck out the suit and awarded 10 million Naira against Dagogo's lawyer, bringing the total to 20 million Naira in favor of the four defendants, including APC's national chairman Prof.

Nentaw Yilwatda and national vice chairman for the South-South, Victor Giadom. Dagogo had sought to nullify the outcomes of the congress and claimed discomfort and mental torture due to the APC's conduct, but the court found the suit to be an abuse of court process and outside its jurisdiction.
