Fubara Dagogo Rejects APC Suspension as Unconstitutional

Fubara Dagogo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in River State, has publicly rejected his suspension from the party, labeling the action as unconstitutional and not in line with the established rules of the APC. His comments came on Friday amid rising tensions within the party following his suspension, which was communicated through a letter dated March 16, 2026, signed by Ward Chairman Richard Benstow and Secretary Donald Jumbo.

The leadership accused Dagogo of violating provisions of the APC constitution, specifically Article 21, for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities. They claimed his conduct could embarrass the party and its leadership.

Dagogo, who remains loyal to President Bola Tinubu, intends to challenge the suspension in the Federal High Court in Abuja. He is also set to contest for the position of APC National Vice Chairman for the South-South zone, having paid the required nomination fee of N5.1 million, despite disputes over the process.
