Court Halts Abia Monarch's Burial, Orders Autopsy Amid Legal Dispute

A magistrate court in Olori Ikwuano, Abia State, has halted the burial of the late traditional ruler of Ntalakwu Oboro Autonomous Community, HRH Professor Sam Ajiri. The court ordered a compulsory autopsy to determine the cause of death following a legal dispute.

The monarch's first son, Dike Ajiri, along with others, filed a motion alleging attempts to bury the monarch without consent. The court ruled in favor of conducting an autopsy before proceeding with the burial, amidst tensions and conflicting claims over the actual date of the monarch's death.
