Court Overturns Suspension of Kwara Lawmaker Saba Gideon

On December 18, 2022, Hon. Saba Yisa Gideon was suspended from the Kwara State House of Assembly for three months due to alleged unauthorized proceedings.

Gideon challenged this suspension in court, leading to a ruling by Justice Muritala Folorunsho in Ilorin. The court found the suspension unconstitutional, illegal, and without legal effect, violating Gideon's rights as an elected representative of the Edu State Constituency.
