Court Orders Defense in N868.46 Million Fraud Case Against Former AGF Nwabuoku

The Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a no-case submission filed by former AGF Anamekwe Nwabuoku in a N868.46 million fraud case brought by the EFCC. Justice James Omotosho ruled that the EFCC presented a prima facie case warranting the defense to open its case.

Nwabuoku faces nine counts of money laundering charges and has pleaded not guilty. The defense argued lack of jurisdiction and insufficiency of evidence, but the judge overruled, directing the defense to respond to the allegations raised by the prosecution.
