Court Rejects NDLEA's Bid to Dismiss N500m Defamation Suit in Calabar

The Cross River State High Court in Calabar has denied the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) request to strike out a N500 million defamation suit brought against them by Fajulugb Adeshola Temitayo, a sales representative of Drugfield Pharmaceuticals. The lawsuit alleges that NDLEA falsely linked Temitayo to drug peddling, causing irreparable damage to his reputation.

NDLEA argued that the suit was time-barred, but the court ruled in favor of allowing the case to proceed. The matter has been adjourned for further hearings.
