Blogger Justice Crack Remanded Over Military Claims

Chidieber Justice Mark, a blogger known as Justice Crack, has been remanded in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) following his arraignment at the Federal High Court in Abuja. He faces three counts of making false claims regarding the feeding conditions of Nigerian military personnel.

During the proceedings, the prosecuting lawyer, Emmanuel Orubo, requested a date for the prosecution to open its case, while Mark pleaded not guilty to the charges. Defense lawyer Marshal Abubakar made an oral application for bail, which the court did not entertain, instructing that a formal bail application be filed instead.

Justice Joyc Abdulmalik ordered Mark to remain in custody until the next court date, set for May 25, 2026, when the trial will commence and the bail application will be heard.
