Court Sacks Zamfara Lawmaker for Defecting from PDP to APC

The Federal High Court in Abuja has sacked a Zamfara lawmaker for defecting from the PDP to the APC, ruling his defection unconstitutional. The court ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a fresh election within 30 days to fill the vacant seat.

The case was filed by the PDP against the lawmaker, challenging the legality of his defection. The court condemned the growing culture of political defections in Nigeria.
