DJ Chicken Remanded for Threats Against Seyi Tinubu

DJ Chicken has been sent to Kirikiri Correctional Centre after being charged with three counts related to making death threats against Seyi Tinubu. The charges, presented by the prosecution, include threats to kill, conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, and offenses under the Cybercrime Act.

The allegations stem from a video posted on social media where DJ Chicken allegedly threatened Seyi Tinubu, interpreted as a threat to kill, which violates the Criminal Law of Lagos State. Despite public backlash and DJ Chicken's withdrawal of the statement, the prosecution proceeded with the charges.

Onamusi granted bail at N1 million with two sureties, requiring specific documentation, including tax clearance and identification. DJ Chicken remains in custody until the bail conditions are met, with the case adjourned until August 3, 2026.
