DJ Chicken Released on Bail After Threat Charges

DJ Chicken, whose real name is Ademola Abiodun, regained his freedom after fulfilling bail conditions imposed by a Lagos magistrate court. His lawyer, Rotimi Stephen, confirmed the release on social media, expressing gratitude to God.

DJ Chicken had spent several days in custody after being arraigned on charges that included making threats against Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu. The charges stemmed from a viral video in which DJ Chicken allegedly claimed that President Bola Tinubu would not secure re-election in 2027.

Following public criticism, he retracted his statement and apologized. The court granted bail in the sum of N1 million, requiring two sureties, including a civil servant and a community leader, along with tax clearance certificates.

The case has been adjourned until August 3, 2026, and DJ Chicken is expected to remain in custody until all bail conditions are met.
