DJ Chicken Released from Detention After Bail Conditions

DJ Chicken, known as Ademola Abiodun, was released from detention after fulfilling bail conditions set by the court. His lawyer, Rotimi Stephen, confirmed the development via an Instagram story.

DJ Chicken had been remanded at Kirikiri Correctional Centre following his arraignment on Friday in a magistrate court in Ogba, Lagos State. He faced three counts of charges, including making threats to kill Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, which stemmed from a viral video claiming that President Tinubu would not win re-election in 2027.

Despite public backlash, DJ Chicken retracted his statement, asserting it was a joke intended to gain attention. He pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the court granted him bail of 1 million naira with two sureties, including a civil servant and a community leader.

The case has been adjourned until August 3, 2026, with DJ Chicken's release generating significant online support.
