DJ Chicken Remanded Over Threats to Seyi Tinubu

DJ Chicken, whose real name is Ademola Abiodun, has been arraigned in a magistrate's court in Ogba, Lagos, on three counts related to alleged threats against Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu. The charges stem from a viral video in which DJ Chicken purportedly made statements interpreted as threats against Seyi Tinubu, prompting the Lagos State government to initiate criminal proceedings.

The prosecutor argued that the video contained statements that could be seen as a threat to Seyi Tinubu's life, violating the Lagos State Criminal Law of 2015 and the Cybercrime Prohibition and Prevention Act of 2015. DJ Chicken pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Magistrate M.F. Onamusi granted bail of N1 million with two sureties but ordered DJ Chicken to be remanded at Kirikiri Correctional Centre until bail conditions are met.

The case has been adjourned until August 3, 2026, for further proceedings.
