CPN to Host 20th IT Professionals’ Assembly in Abuja

The Computer Professionals (Registration) Council of Nigeria (CPN) is set to hold its 20th IT Professionals’ Assembly on May 13-14, 2026, in Abuja. This annual gathering will focus on digital resilience and inclusion, examining emerging digital risks and strategies to promote inclusive digital policies.

CPN President Dr. Essien Eyo stated that the assembly serves as a platform for industry leaders to network and showcase innovations.

The theme aligns with Nigeria's digital economy agenda, emphasizing the need to strengthen the country's digital foundation and ensure that no segment of society is left behind in accessing digital opportunities. Dr.

Bosun Tijjani, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, will deliver a keynote address, highlighting the strategic importance of digital transformation for national competitiveness and social advancement. The event will also induct new members into the profession, underscoring CPN's role in regulating and supervising computing professionals in Nigeria.
