Henri Ayuk, the Commissioner for Health, reaffirmed that as of April 23, 2026, there are no new confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 in Cross River. The confusion arose from reports of individuals showing symptoms, but Ayuk clarified that these individuals do not meet the criteria for suspected cases and are currently under home isolation and daily health monitoring.
