Cross River State Reduces Traffic Offenses to Four, Aims to Improve Transport Operations

The Cross River State government, through the CTRA Chairman Efa Nyong, has reduced traffic offenses from 35 to four to facilitate smoother transportation operations in the state. The new policy exempts female commercial drivers from certain fees and penalties, emphasizing driver welfare and business ease.

The four offenses include refusal to register vehicles, failure to purchase daily operation toll tickets, overloading, and failure to use seat belts. This move is in response to economic challenges faced by drivers and transport operators, aiming to promote a more efficient transport system in the state.
