CS Sfaxien Arrives in Nigeria for CAF Clash with Shooting Stars
CS Sfaxien arrived in Nigeria on Wednesday for their CAF Confederation Cup first-leg match against Shooting Stars, scheduled for Saturday at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta. The North African club departed Tunis on Tuesday, aiming for a favorable result to carry into the return leg in Tunisia on September 13.
Shooting Stars, also known as the Oluyole Warriors, are looking to capitalize on their home advantage after starting their 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season with a 2-1 victory over Inter Lagos last Friday. This win provided coach Salisu Yusuf with a positive momentum ahead of their continental challenge.
Similarly, CS Sfaxien began their domestic campaign successfully, defeating Esperance Zarzis 2-1 in their latest match. The outcome of this two-legged tie will determine which team advances to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
