CSO Calls for Investigation into Abuja Property Dispute

The Civil Society Organisation (CSO) Competent Governance for Accountability and Civic Trust (CGACT) has called for urgent intervention regarding an alleged attempt to take over a 2.5-hectare property in Karmo district, Abuja, belonging to Manec Homes Limited. CGACT urged the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and other relevant authorities to investigate the matter and ensure due process.

The issue was reported to the Nigeria Police Force, where title and allocation documents were submitted for verification by the Federal Capital Territory Development Authority (FCDA). CGACT indicated that the outcome recognized Manec Homes Limited's claim and raised concerns about documents associated with Major General Wilson Ali (rtd).

They noted discrepancies regarding the incorporation date of Bijou Properties Limited and the absence of Major General Ali as a director. Additionally, CGACT expressed alarm over allegations of armed military personnel intimidating Manec Homes representatives and urged an investigation into the use of military resources in the dispute.
