Sowore Loses Bid to Present Tinubu's Comments in Cyberbullying Trial

Omoyele Sowore, an activist, faced trial for cyberbullying in Abuja. Sowore's defense sought to present alleged statements by Bola Tinubu against former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Olusegun Obasanjo.

The trial continued with Sowore facing cybercrime charges related to social media posts. The defense's attempt to highlight corruption within public institutions, including reports of dismissals at the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was not successful.

The court upheld the prosecution's objection, denying the admission of Tinubu's alleged comments. The case was adjourned until March 5, 2026, for further proceedings.
