Court Rejects Sowore's Documents in Cyber-Bullying Defense Against Tinubu

The Federal High Court in Abuja rejected documents presented by Omoyele Sowore, the former presidential candidate and publisher of Sahara Report, in his defense against alleged cyber-bullying charges involving President Bola Tinubu. Sowore's lawyer sought to tender documents, including media reports on dismissals and corruption charges, but the court ruled them inadmissible as they lacked relevance and Sowore's knowledge.

The judge also dismissed a set of documents related to derogatory remarks allegedly made by Tinubu, citing lack of authentication. The defense team raised concerns about the involvement of the Department of State Services (DSS) in the case, prompting the judge to order an investigation into the matter.

The court proceedings highlighted issues of corruption, dismissals, and misconduct within government agencies like the DSS and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
