Nigeria Police Force Announces Major Reshuffle of Leadership

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has executed a major reshuffle, as directed by the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu. This redeployment affects several Commissioners of Police (CPs) across various departments.

Key appointments include Akan Ezima as the Director of the Nigeria Police National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja, and Abba Sule as the head of the Special Protection Unit at Force Headquarters. Ajo Geofrei Ordu has been appointed to Interpol, while Cletu Mnwadiogbu takes on the role of Deputy Command at the Police Academy.

Other notable assignments include Danjuma Yahaya overseeing the General Investigation Force at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) annex in Kaduna, and Sheik M. Danko heading the Force Intelligence Department in Lagos.

The reshuffle also includes the appointment of various officers to roles such as the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit and the Special Fraud Unit (SFU) in Ikoyi, among others, emphasizing the urgency of these changes.
