IGP Olatunji Disu Announces Major Police Redeployments

On Tuesday, the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, announced the redeployment of several senior officers, including Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) and Commissioners of Police (CPs), across various strategic positions in the Nigeria Police Force. This move aims to strengthen operational efficiency and enhance leadership capacity to improve service delivery nationwide.

The statement was made by the Force spokesman, DCP Anthony Placid. Key redeployments include AIG Ado Emmanuel to the Research and Planning Force Headquarters in Abuja, AIG Joseph Eribo to the Department of Armament, and AIG Miller Dantaway to Operations.

Other notable redeployments involve CPs such as Haruna Yahaya to Jigawa State Command, Betti Otimenyin to Welfare Force Headquarters, and Olugbenga Abimbola to Oyo State Command. The changes also affect various other states and departments, ensuring a strategic command structure within the police force.
