Major Reorganization in Nigeria Police Force Announced

On Tuesday, the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, announced a significant reorganization within the Nigeria Police Force aimed at strengthening operations and enhancing leadership capacity. This restructuring involves the deployment of new Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) and Commissioners of Police (CPs) across various commands nationwide.

Key appointments include AIG Ado Emmanuel to the Research and Planning Force Headquarters in Abuja, AIG Joseph Eribo to the Department of Armament, and AIG Miller Dantaway to the Department of Operations. Other notable assignments include AIG Henri Ifeanyi Uch to Training and Development, AIG Olanrewaju Peter Ogunlowo to the Police Affairs Branch, and AIG Dahiru Moh to Zone 15 in Maiduguri.

Additionally, CPs have been assigned to various states, including CP Haruna Alaba Yahaya to Jigawa State and CP Olugbenga Ayodeji Abimbola to Oyo State. The IGP emphasized the importance of bringing wealth of experience to their new roles to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and discipline.
