Czech Republic Commits Military Support to Nigeria

The Czech Republic has pledged to support Nigeria's Armed Forces with modern military platforms, advanced technology, training, and equipment maintenance to combat terrorism and banditry. This commitment was secured by Dr Bello Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defence, during engagements with Czech military authorities at the Czech Air Force Days at Mošnov Airfield, Ostrava.

Matawalle inspected various military equipment, including the L-39 Skyfox jet trainer and the L-410NG multipurpose transport aircraft. He was accompanied by Mr Khalil Sulaiman Halilu, the Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, Dr Dahiru Muhammed, Chairman of the Presidential Implementation Committee on Technology Transfer, and other officials.

The Czech military leaders, including Lieutenant General Miroslav Hlaváč and Major General Josef Trojánek, expressed their intention to assist Nigeria in its military efforts. The Czech companies involved assured their readiness to provide advanced military platforms for Nigeria's ongoing operations.
