Daddy Showkey Celebrates 50 Years of Nigerian Music

Daddy Showkey, a veteran singer and pioneer of the Galala genre, celebrated his 50 years on stage with a milestone concert titled “The Journey! My 50 Years on Stage as an Entertainer.” The event took place last Sunday at Eko Hotels and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Rather than focusing solely on his career, Daddy Showkey transformed the concert into a reunion of music heavyweights, bringing together generations of Nigerian entertainers. Notable artists who joined him on stage included Tony Tetuila, 2Baba, 9ice, African China, Baba Fryo, Danfo Drivers, Marvelous Benjy, Korede Bello, Teni, and Cobhams.
