Garba Critiques El-Rufai's Allegations on Dadiyata's Case

Comrade Muhammad Garba, the former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, responded to allegations made by Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai concerning the disappearance of activist Dadiyata. Garba described El-Rufai's statements as reckless and unfounded, asserting they were attempts to shift responsibility for the incident.

Dadiyata, known for his criticisms of the Kaduna State government, has been missing since August 2019. Garba emphasized that there is no credible evidence linking the Kano State government or its Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, to Dadiyata's disappearance.

He urged scrutiny of El-Rufai's remarks, which he deemed politically charged rather than based on verified facts. Garba also highlighted the importance of focusing on uncovering the truth and providing closure to Dadiyata's family, rather than allowing the case to become a political tool.

He noted that during Ganduje's administration, there have been no records of harassment or intimidation of journalists in Kano State.
