Omokri Challenges El-Rufai on Dadiyata's Disappearance

Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide, has publicly disputed claims made by former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai regarding the activist Abubakar Idris, popularly known as Dadiyata. Omokri's reaction followed El-Rufai's appearance on Ari's TV on Friday, where he denied ever meeting Dadiyata.

Omokri accused El-Rufai of misleading the public about Dadiyata's stance towards his administration. He provided evidence of Dadiyata's criticism of El-Rufai, particularly highlighting the circumstances surrounding Dadiyata's abduction on August 2, 2019, from Kaduna, after which he has not been seen.

Omokri also questioned the circumstances of Dadiyata's disappearance and called for answers, emphasizing that Dadiyata's wife and two young daughters deserve to know what happened to him. He referenced El-Rufai's threats against foreign election observers and the abduction of El-Rufai's son, Bashir, as part of the broader context of insecurity in the region.
